Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Startups Building Startups ("SBS"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Account Verification

• B2B Nature: SBS is exclusively for professional business-to-business (B2B) use. You must be at least 18 years old and hold the legal authority to bind the corporate entity you represent.
• Verification: Access to core features (including AI matchmaking and "Fix My Itch") may require successful completion of our identity and corporate verification process. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail to maintain verified status, or that misrepresent identity, role, or startup details.

2. Platform Services & User Conduct

• The "Fix My Itch" Repository: You may post technical, operational, or strategic hurdles. You agree that any information posted is not confidential and does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights or NDAs.
• Posts, Comments & Messaging: You are solely responsible for content you publish. We enforce community standards and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate them.
• Escrow-Based Services: SBS may facilitate connections to third-party escrow services for B2B transactions. SBS is not a bank, financial institution, or party to these financial agreements. We disclaim all liability arising from disputes over escrowed funds.
• Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to scrape data, spam users, deploy malicious code, or use the platform to facilitate illegal activities. Misrepresentation of your startup's financials, metrics, identity, or role is grounds for immediate termination.

3. Intellectual Property

• Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content, code snippets, and business plans you upload. By posting on SBS, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute this content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and powering matchmaking.
• SBS Property: The platform's design, AI algorithms, matchmaking logic, logos, and branding are the exclusive property of Startups Building Startups.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SBS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the platform.
• Any interactions, partnerships, or investments made with other users discovered through the platform.
• Failures or breaches of third-party escrow, payment, or verification providers.

5. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the platform, or pose a risk to other users or to SBS.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
